Harness training
Harness training is a multi-stage process that takes MANY hours to get it right. The horse/pony needs to understand
a great deal since there are only three aids: lines(reins), whip and voice. The partner must be trained to absolutely
trust the instruction given to them. This takes many repetitions and much time. The following chronology shows Chloe's development.
She has been a good and eager learner. By the time she was hitched to the carriage, there was well over 100 training hours
invested (not counting basic leading and similar tasks).
Claire, pictured above, had well over 250 hours of training when this photo was taken at a competition.
